Helping the house
2017 has been an exciting year for Shield For Kids. After months of planning and preparation, the San Antonio Law Softball Team was excited to kick off their inaugural Shields For Kids “Helping the House” event at the Ronald McDonald House medical center Saturday May 6th, 2017. The day couldn’t have been more perfect as Shields For Kids volunteers, along with other community supporters, brought joy to the sick, injured or recovering children and their families staying at the Ronald McDonald House that weekend. Knowing the difficult journey’s these families endure, the Shields For Kids organization wanted to do something special to help cheer them up and make them smile, and they did just that!
A big thanks to the police officers of Shields For Kids, their families and all the volunteers that helped make this day possible. A special thanks to BioTechs, 501st Legionnaires, The San Antonio Police Department S.W.A.T. Team, Elliott Valdez with SA Finest Reality, and retired San Antonio Police Officer Francisco San Miguel (F.J. San Miguel Photography). We are truly grateful for all your help and donations. Stay tuned, as we will have a video out shortly, highlighting this great event.
